Thane CPCA, formerly Thane SPCA, runs the only full animal hospital in Thane district, with separate wards for dogs, cats, cattle, wild birds, turtles and primates alongside an intensive care unit and digital radiography. It runs mobile clinics with local municipal corporations and works on animal-rights implementation, including through Right to Information requests. The organisation also rescues abused animals and works to rehome them.
