Tarumitra

Tarumitra ('Friends of Trees') is a student environmental movement started in Patna in 1988 by Jesuit Fr. Robert Athickal and school students. From its 10-acre bio-reserve and ashram at Digha, Patna, it has spread eco-clubs across India's schools and colleges and holds Special Consultative Status with the UN's Economic and Social Council.
