Sparsha Trust was started in 2005 by a group of Master of Social Work students who wanted to help street, dropout, begging and child-labouring children realise their potential. It runs six residential educational rehabilitation and bridge centres across Bangalore, and says it has rehabilitated more than 8,000 children, enrolling around 3,000 of them into formal schools. Roughly 450 to 500 children are currently supported through its centres.
