Founded as 'Anath Vidyarthi Griha' on 12 May 1909 by Vishnu Gangadhar alias Dajisaheb Gadgil and colleagues, Pune Vidyarthi Griha began by housing, feeding and educating poor and destitute students in Sadashiv Peth, Pune. Over a century later the charitable education society runs a wide spectrum of institutions across Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, Talegaon and Nerul — from schools and technical institutes to colleges of engineering, management, and art, commerce and science — while staying true to its founding mission of educating needy, deserving students.
