Kerala non-profit building digital media literacy and online-safety skills so Indians can navigate the internet safely and spot misinformation.
Citizen Digital Foundation (CDF) is a non-profit founded in 2021 and based in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, working on digital media literacy, responsible tech innovation, data privacy and online rights. It addresses risks such as misinformation, privacy breaches, digital addiction and cyberbullying, and its flagship initiative, Litt, is an online information-literacy platform helping people of all ages spot misinformation and protect their privacy online. CDF also engages in tech-policy advocacy, partnering with organisations including Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies, Pacta and Civis to inform digital-rights legislation such as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act.
