V. Ekambaram is the founder of AIFO India (1998)[1], an Indian non-profit working on healthcare and disability from Bengaluru.

AIFO India

AIFO India (Amici di Raoul Follereau India) is a Bangalore-based nonprofit founded in 1998 by Dr. V. Ekambaram, working on leprosy eradication and treatment alongside community-based rehabilitation for persons with disabilities. It runs education, livelihood-development and healthcare-access programmes in partnership with government hospitals and grassroots NGOs.

AIFO India reports the following, on its own site:

  • Reached 1,000 families with distribution of essential supplies and food during its relief campaign for daily labourers, migrant workers, persons with disabilities and persons affected by leprosy
