Yein Udaan is a grassroots education initiative founded by Vedika Agarwal, working in Chennai's Chetpet dhobighat community to provide 'cradle to college' education support for under-resourced children, alongside co-curricular programs and community learning spaces for women. It is a small, community-rooted organisation rather than a large one.
Yein Udaan reports the following, on its own site:
- 100% pass rate in public exams and school graduation
- 84% of students identify our centres as their only safe space
- 65% of the team is from Chetpet's dhobighat community
- 2.5 lakh+ people reached with critical aid and relief supplies
