Samir Desai is the founder of The Desai Foundation Trust[1], an Indian non-profit working on healthcare, women & children, livelihood and rural & agriculture from Navsari.

The Desai Foundation Trust empowers women and children through community programmes in health, livelihood, menstrual equity and climate resilience in rural India. Headquartered in Navsari, Gujarat, it incubates, pilots and scales community-led models across several Indian states, running health camps, vocational and sewing training, computer education, gynaecological health camps, the Lok Vidyalaya school and its Asani sanitary napkin programme, which employs local women to manufacture and distribute pads.
