Rajkala Partha is the founder of Sharana Social and Development Organisation (2000)[1], an Indian non-profit working on education, women & children and rural & agriculture from Puducherry.

Sharana was registered in Pondicherry in July 2000 by social worker Rajkala Partha to meet the educational needs of disadvantaged children in the city's urban slums and surrounding villages. Its Back to School program sponsors over a thousand children, while drop-in and homework-help centres, a purpose-built daycare designed by architect Anupama Kundoo, interest-free collateral-free loans for women, and rural development work in Angalakuppam and T.N. Palayam round out a community-led model spanning more than 50 locations in Puducherry and Tamil Nadu.
