Hariraj Charitable Trust

Hariraj Charitable Trust is a public charitable trust registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 (Reg. No. E/638/Amreli), founded by Nayanbhai Gandhi in 1993 and based in Amreli, Gujarat. It works with youth in the unorganised sector, women, children and economically deprived communities on education and child care, general health awareness, women's self-help groups, self-employment and skill-development training, organic-farming and agriculture development, and natural resource management. Its programmes are concentrated in villages of Amreli district, with additional activity in Bardoli block of Surat district.

Hariraj Charitable Trust reports the following, on its own site:

  • Hariraj Charitable Trust trained more than 9,000 farmers and farm labourers in the use of health, safety and security equipment during 2019-20 in Amreli district, Gujarat.
  • In 2019-20 Hariraj Charitable Trust ran a pilot gender-education project in the villages of Chital and Vandaliya in Gujarat, covering 100 young men across 15 sessions.
