ANEW (Association for Non-traditional Employment for Women) is a Chennai NGO founded in 1997 that trains underprivileged women aged 18-35 in non-traditional employment skills — home nursing, computer applications, accounting software and driving — free of cost, several courses co-certified by partners like the Sundaram Medical Foundation and NIIT Foundation. Its flagship home-nursing course alone has trained over 3,670 women, with more than 14,000 candidates trained across all courses since inception and a consistent 75-80% job-placement rate.
