Children's Book Trust

Children's Book Trust (CBT) was founded in 1957 by the cartoonist Shankar to produce good, well-illustrated and well-designed books for children in India. It publishes across a wide range of subjects and runs competitions in writing and painting for children.

Its children's library, opened in 1967, holds a collection of over 45,000 books in English and Hindi for school-going children
