Dr. Vijay Prakesh is the established the founding group sewa (with dedicated social reformers) of Gram Vikas Sewa Sansthan (1976)[1], an Indian non-profit working on education, women & children and livelihood from Jagdishpur.

Gram Vikas Sewa Sansthan works on rural development around Jagdishpur in Amethi district, Uttar Pradesh, across education, health and nutrition, livelihoods, and environment and climate change. Current initiatives include the Magical Words women's literacy programme, a sustainable-livelihood project called Swavalamban and digital education for young people who dropped out of school.
