Dr Mala Bhandari is the founder of Social and Development Research & Action Group (SADRAG) (2004)[1], an Indian non-profit working on education and livelihood from Noida.

Social and Development Research & Action Group (SADRAG)

SADRAG has worked since 2004 in Delhi-NCR, western Uttar Pradesh and Bengaluru on child education and protection, women's safety and livelihoods. A research-and-action group at heart, it also produces training tools such as its Sonu Monu child-protection comics and runs programmes on digital inclusion and gender-based violence.

  • Ugta Suraj has mainstreamed more than 2000 children till date with the school retention rate of 80-85 percent.
  • Under the project, a total of 200 trees of Terminalia Mantalis have been planted in selected areas in Tau Devi Lal Biodiversity & Botanical Park.
