Apna Ghar Ashram
Apna Ghar Ashram (Maa Madhuri Brij Waris Sewa Sadan) was established in 2000 near Bharatpur, Rajasthan, by Dr B.M. Bhardwaj and Dr Madhuri Bhardwaj. Its ashrams rescue and care for destitute, mentally ill and abandoned people — called Prabhujis — providing treatment, shelter and family reunification across dozens of centres in India and Nepal.
Apna Ghar Ashram reports the following, on its own site:
- 6,700+ destitute residents (Prabhujis) cared for at the Bharatpur ashram
- 1,200+ staff and 2,000+ volunteers serve across 69 ashrams
