This society of people living with HIV in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvannamalai district, home to around 6,500 members, is run by and for positive people, most of them farmers and daily wage earners. Its work includes family, group and psycho-social counselling, motivating members to take up ART treatment and CD4 testing, home visits, and building members' skills as positive speakers who advocate for prevention and dignity.
