Founded in 1980 from a legacy bequeathed by Mrs Ruth Cowell and inaugurated in September 1983, SGACC is a 24x7 hospital-cum-shelter in Punjabi Bagh, Delhi. It rescues, treats and rehabilitates dogs, cats, cattle, equines, birds and wildlife, runs an animal ambulance, an Animal Birth Control programme, a gaushala and one of Delhi's only animal burial grounds.
