Dr. Arun Ghosh is the founder director of Institute of Psychological and Educational Research (IPER)[1], an Indian non-profit working on education and women & children from Kolkata.
Institute of Psychological and Educational Research (IPER)
The Institute of Psychological and Educational Research was set up in Kolkata in 1971 by Dr Arun Ghosh, an educationist and national child-welfare awardee, to bring psychology and education together for child development. More than fifty years on, IPER works with marginalised children and women — with particular focus on the girl child — through education, child protection including an open shelter under Mission Vatsalya, women's protection, healthcare and nutrition, and counselling.
Institute of Psychological and Educational Research (IPER) reports the following, on its own site:
- IPER runs Day Care Centres for over 300 children in vulnerable communities and an Open Shelter “Swapnaneer” for 30 at-risk girls, providing education, nutrition, health care, psychosocial support, and protection.
