Satinder Bajwa is the founder of Khelshala (2009)[1], an Indian non-profit working on sports and education from Chandigarh.
Khelshala
Founded in 2009 in Village Attawa, Chandigarh, by Satinder Bajwa, former Director of Squash at Harvard University. Khelshala combines daily academic tutoring with squash and tennis coaching, yoga and health awareness for children of rickshaw pullers, domestic workers and daily-wage earners, with sites in Attawa (squash) and Village Majra, Punjab (tennis).
Khelshala reports the following, on its own site:
- Khelshala has regularly achieved a 90-100% pass rate for its class 9 and 10 students at their respective schools
- 100 children participated in Chandigarh Junior State Championships since 2011
