The MINDS Foundation
The MINDS Foundation is a Vadodara-based nonprofit founded in 2011, using a grassroots, education-first approach to reduce stigma around mental illness and connect patients in underserved rural communities to care. Starting in Vadodara, it has expanded across Bhavnagar, Chhota Udepur, Panchmahal and Narmada districts of Gujarat.
The MINDS Foundation reports the following, on its own site:
- 2.5 million+ individuals touched through programming since 2011
- Serving 250+ communities with a combined population of over 650,000, since 2011
- 122,000+ schoolchildren educated through the school mental health education programme, with 32,750+ teachers trained
