Mr. Ved Arya is the founder of SRIJAN (Self-Reliant Initiatives through Joint Action) (1997)[1], an Indian non-profit working on rural & agriculture, livelihood and water & sanitation from New Delhi.

SRIJAN works on water and soil conservation, agriculture, farmer-producer organisations and women's self-help groups to build self-reliant rural livelihoods, reaching over 500,000 families across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh, including its Bundelkhand water-body revival initiative.
