Mr. Sudarshan Loyalka is the founder of Apne Aap Women's Collective (AAWC)[1], an Indian non-profit working on anti-trafficking, women & children and livelihood from Mumbai.

Apne Aap Women's Collective (AAWC)

Apne Aap Women's Collective, known as AAWC, has worked for over twenty-five years with women and girls in the red-light areas of Mumbai and Navi Mumbai to break the cycle of intergenerational trafficking. Its Umeed programme supports adult women with physical and mental health care, financial independence, education and skills so they can leave prostitution permanently, while the Udaan programme works with girls aged five to eighteen through education, healthcare, safe housing and personal development.
