Mr. Dilip Kumar is the leader of the founding group (as page says) of PRAVAH (1992)[1], an Indian non-profit working on rural & agriculture, livelihood and water & sanitation from Deoghar.
PRAVAH
Inspired by the Gandhian idea of village self-rule, PRAVAH has implemented development programmes from Deoghar since 1992, reaching more than one lakh families across Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal. It promotes climate-smart agriculture, livestock and watershed development among ultra-poor tribal, Dalit and particularly vulnerable tribal group communities, alongside women's economic inclusion, health and nutrition for mothers and children, and menstrual hygiene programmes.
PRAVAH reports the following, on its own site:
- 100000 Households benefited the last 5 years
- 450000 Youth and adolescents sensitised on Gender based Violence
- 12044 Girls received Quality Education
- 20000 Farmers engaged in sustainable agriculture practices
