Project Second Chance
Project Second Chance, run by the TYCIA Foundation inside Delhi's Tihar Jail Complex, works to reform, rehabilitate and reintegrate at-risk young inmates aged 18-21 through literacy and board-exam preparation, life-skills training, employment assistance, mental-health support and de-addiction programmes.
Project Second Chance reports the following, on its own site:
- 1,800+ inmates taken through a life-skills program on recognising the impact of their actions
- 150+ students motivated to sit NIOS board exams, 100+ appeared for IGNOU exams, 60+ employed part time within the prison
