Haritika works on ecological restoration and rural development across the Bundelkhand region spanning Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, building check dams, stop dams and watershed structures that have brought irrigation water to thousands of villages long affected by drought.

Haritika reports the following, on its own site:

• 2 lakh households benefitted from livelihood-based interventions
• 2,157 water conservation structures built
• 47,000 people benefitted from the WATSAN project with clean water
