Shree Karuna Foundation Trust, founded by Mital Khetani in Rajkot, runs a 24x7 animal helpline, hospital and ambulance service giving free treatment to stray animals and birds. Its bird-rescue control room inspired the Gujarat government's statewide Karuna Abhiyan campaign for birds injured during Uttarayan.
