Bangalore Food Bank started on World Food Day 2014 and is registered as Feeding Bangalore Foundation, a partner of the Global FoodBanking Network. It supplies monthly groceries to NGOs running residential programmes, rescues surplus and post-harvest food before it is wasted, feeds schoolchildren, and has procured over a thousand tonnes of food for people in need.
