Sahasra Deepika International for Education runs a residential institute at Sakalavara, Anekal taluk, near Bengaluru, providing housing, schooling, health care and counselling for girls from destitute backgrounds from kindergarten to class ten and support through college or vocational training. It also runs an outreach programme for students in government Kannada-medium high schools in low-income areas of Bengaluru, and a women's empowerment programme. Its annual Spelling Bee competition has run for over a decade.
