T.V.Murali is the founder of CHOLAI - Action for Child Labour[1], an Indian non-profit working on women & children, education and livelihood from Chennai.
CHOLAI - Action for Child Labour
CHOLAI (Action for Child Labour), registered as a trust in 1987, works to eliminate child labour in and around Chennai and was the first to run mobile education for working children in South India. It has returned over 1,600 working children from hazardous industries to formal schools, and improves family incomes through its Women Mini Business School, self-help groups, children's development clubs and a community college.
