Suhail Abbasi is the founder of The Humsafar Trust (1994)[1], an Indian non-profit working on lgbtq+ & inclusion, healthcare and human rights from Mumbai.
The Humsafar Trust
Founded by journalist Ashok Row Kavi in 1994, Humsafar pioneered health and rights work for LGBTQ Indians. It runs HIV testing and counselling centres, crisis response, mental-health support and advocacy, and was a key community petitioner in the Section 377 decriminalisation battle.
