Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama at Morabadi, Ranchi was founded in 1927 by Swami Vishuddhanandaji, the eighth president of the Ramakrishna Order. Distinct from the movement's Howrah headquarters, this Ranchi centre runs Divyayan Krishi Vigyan Kendra, a residential institute established in 1969 that trains village youth, particularly tribal communities, in scientific agriculture, horticulture, dairy, poultry and farm machinery, alongside a dispensary, watershed management and rural relief work. It is preparing to mark its centenary in 2027.
