Soumyadeep Datta is the founder of Nature's Beckon[1], an Indian non-profit working on environment and animals from Dhubri.
Nature's Beckon
Nature's Beckon is an Assam-based environmental group that led the campaigns to establish Chakrashila Wildlife Sanctuary and protect rainforest habitat across the state, and is credited with rediscovering the golden langur in the Chakrashila hills. It runs conservation camps, anti-poaching efforts and environmental education from its base in Dhubri.
Nature's Beckon reports the following, on its own site:
- Its Rainforest Conservation Movement led to the declaration of the 111.19 sq km Dehing Patkai Wildlife Sanctuary in Assam in 2004
