Teach For India

Teach For India is a nonprofit that recruits college graduates and working professionals as full-time Fellows to teach for two years in low-income schools. Part of the Teach For All network, it works to build a movement of leaders addressing educational inequity in India.

Akanksha runs a network of schools in Mumbai and Pune in partnership with municipal bodies, providing quality education to children from low-income communities. It focuses on strong academics, values and life skills.

  • 88% of Akanksha alumni are employed or self-employed
  • 78% of students graduate performing better than the state average
