Sh. Kalyan Singh Gupta is the founder general secretary of Lok Kalyan Samiti (1952)^[1], an Indian non-profit working on healthcare, education and livelihood from New Delhi.

Lok Kalyan Samiti

Lok Kalyan Samiti was founded in New Delhi in 1952 by Kalyan Singh Gupta and co-workers and is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. Its eye care programme, started in 1975, provides free cataract surgery and is known locally as the 'poor man's eye hospital'. The Samiti also runs general medical and dental services, a sponsor-a-child programme and craft and tailoring vocational training in Delhi NCR.

Lok Kalyan Samiti's social impact record for its New Delhi programmes includes 5,477 young girls empowered through tailoring, beautician courses and crafts training.
At Lok Kalyan Samiti's Chakkarpur Centre in Gurgaon, Haryana, the medical OPD sees on average more than 350 beneficiaries per day, and more than 42,304 children have benefited from the monthly immunisation programme run there under the Haryana Government.
