Sahyadri Devrai is a Maharashtra reforestation movement founded by actor Sayaji Shinde. It converts barren hills into native-species sacred groves (devrais) at sites in Satara, Beed, Kolhapur, Nashik and beyond, and has replanted lakhs of trees including rescued mature banyans.
