Savithri Vaithi is the founder of Vishranthi Charitable Trust^[1], an Indian non-profit working on elderly and women & children from Chennai.

Started in 1978 by Savithri Vaithi with a single destitute inmate, Vishranthi grew into Chennai's pioneering free old-age home for abandoned and destitute women, caring for over a hundred 'grandmothers' at its Palavakkam campus with food, shelter, nursing and a dignified final journey.
