Sandhya Sharad is the founder and trustee of Samiksha Foundation[1], an Indian non-profit working on palliative & cancer care and education from Bengaluru.
Samiksha Foundation
Keeps children learning while they undergo cancer treatment, running learning centres inside Bengaluru hospitals staffed by trained teachers and volunteers. Since its first centre opened in 2009 it has grown to six, reaching over 1,200 children a year with lessons, a multilingual library, yoga, art and music that help them return to school after treatment.
