Bangalore Medical Services Trust (BMST) is a public charitable trust (Regn. No. 784/1983-84) established in February 1984 by the Rotary Club of Bangalore and TTK & Company. It has grown into a regional centre of excellence for blood banking and transfusion, immunohematology, tissue banking, and solid-organ and stem-cell transplantation, alongside training, research and community health education. BMST operates a large Blood Component facility and Regional Blood Transfusion Centre serving hospitals and patients across Bengaluru and surrounding districts. Its stem-cell registry work, run with DKMS, was spun off in 2019 into a separate entity, DKMS-BMST Foundation India.
