Rishi Raj is the founder / co-founder of Muskaan Dreams[1], an Indian non-profit working on education from Noida.
Muskaan Dreams
Muskaan Dreams was founded in 2017 by Abhishek Dubey, who was later named to the Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 list for the work, with a starting focus on keeping girls in government schools and reducing dropout rates. It has since repositioned as an ed-tech nonprofit focused on digital literacy, training government-school teachers in classes 6-10 to use technology in their own classrooms rather than sending in outside instructors. The organisation operates across Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra, working through the existing government-school system so its training is meant to persist after the program itself moves on. Muskaan Dreams has stated a goal of reaching 1 million children and teachers through its digital-skills programs.
Muskaan Dreams reports the following, on its own site:
- As of 2018-19 Muskaan Dreams had reached 40 government schools across two Madhya Pradesh districts, Gwalior and Bhopal, installing 56 digital classrooms and training 240 teachers over 120 hours of teacher training.
