Rajesh Singhi is the founder of Ibtada (1997)[1], an Indian non-profit working on women & children, education, livelihood and rural & agriculture from Alwar.

Ibtada began its work with women and girl children in the Mewat region in 1997 and has continued since. Based in Alwar, Rajasthan, it works across villages in Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, organising women into collectives and self-help groups and working on girls' education and rural livelihoods, in partnership with donors, government departments and the communities themselves.

Ibtada reports the following, on its own site:

  • Reached more than 63,500 households across 650 villages
  • Working in 18 blocks of 8 districts across Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh
  • 28 years of work with women and girl children in the Mewat region (since 1997)
