Snakebite Healing & Education Society (SHE-India) is a Mumbai-based civil society organisation founded by Priyanka Kadam and dedicated solely to reducing India's roughly 58,000 annual snakebite deaths. It trains ASHA workers, primary health centre nurses and community health workers on snakebite first aid and treatment protocols, and produces multilingual educational content, including a documentary and a mobile app, to correct dangerous folk remedies. The organisation collaborates with ICMR, the National Centre for Disease Control, the National Health Mission, WHO India, state forest departments and grassroots NGOs across a dozen states.
