Piyush Tewari is the founder of SaveLIFE Foundation (2008)[1], an Indian non-profit working on road safety & civic and healthcare from New Delhi.

SaveLIFE Foundation

Founded by Piyush Tewari, SaveLIFE drove India's Good Samaritan Law and the Zero-Fatality Corridor model that sharply cut deaths on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. It combines on-ground engineering, enforcement support and national policy advocacy.

SaveLIFE Foundation reports the following, on its own site:

  • 58% reduction in road deaths on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway (2017–2023) through the Zero-Fatality Corridor model
  • Working across 100 of India's most dangerous highway corridors
  • 25,500 police and first responders trained in trauma care; 21,100 high-risk drivers trained
  • Drove India's Good Samaritan Law (Supreme Court 2016, Parliament 2019)
