Patrick San Francesco is the founder of Samarpan Foundation (2006)[1], an Indian non-profit working on healthcare, education, prisoners & reform and animals from New Delhi.

Samarpan Foundation

Samarpan Foundation is a charitable not-for-profit established in September 2006 in New Delhi. It runs schools for children in urban slum settlements, mobile medical services, eye-care camps including in Tihar Jail, and long-running work with leprosy-affected communities across several states. Its programmes also cover animal welfare and environmental work.

Samarpan Foundation reports the following, on its own site:

  • Samarpan Foundation's Kishangarh School and Tuition Centre in New Delhi caters to 620 students, cares for 45 children in its creche and teaches 60 women in its adult education programme.
  • Samarpan Foundation's school and tuition centre at Hathi Basti on the bank of the Yamuna river in Delhi caters to 300 students, children of elephant keepers (mahouts) and garden labourers.
  • Samarpan Foundation's tuition centre at Yamuna Pushta, Delhi, provides tuition for 160 students who are the first generation of their families to be educated.
