Bridges of Sports Foundation
Founded by engineer Nitish Chiniwar, who left a Formula One-linked career in the UK, Bridges of Sports trains children from tribal and marginalized communities in North Karnataka — including the African-origin Siddi community — into competitive athletes. Working from Hubballi and Mundgod with partners like Royal Challengers Bengaluru, it provides coaching, nutrition, education and 360-degree support to build India's first 'sprint capital'.
Bridges of Sports Foundation reports the following, on its own site:
- 10,000+ children supported with athletics training
- 500+ medals from state, national and Asian junior championships
