Mitra Jyothi is a Bengaluru charitable trust founded in 1990 by Madhu Singhal, working to help people with visual impairment lead independent lives. It runs an Education Resource Centre producing accessible books in Braille, eText, DAISY audio and other formats, independent living skills training, a Braille transcription centre, digital literacy training, a placement cell for jobseekers with disabilities, and a programme supporting visually impaired girls through higher education.
