Mrs. Meena Shah is the founder chairman; founder trustee of Janaseva Foundation[1], an Indian non-profit working on elderly, orphans & child care and healthcare from Pune.

Janaseva Foundation

Established on 15 January 1988 by Dr. Vinod Shah, Janaseva Foundation runs old-age homes, a destitute rehabilitation centre, a hostel for street girls and long-term elder care facilities around Pune, holds UN Special Consultative Status, and has hosted Presidents of India at its 'Ageing with Dignity' initiatives.

Janaseva Foundation reports the following, on its own site:

  • Every year 200 elderly live in its Old Age Homes, out of which 160 live totally free
  • Hostel for 400 girl street children inaugurated at Katraj
