Mr. Philip Andrew Paranjape is the founder & ex-president of Gram Sewa Sangh (1993)[1], an Indian non-profit working on women & children and hunger from Nagpur.
Gram Sewa Sangh
Gram Sewa Sangh was founded in Nagpur in 1993 by Philip Andrew Paranjape, who had spent two decades in medical and social work; his son Vishal took over as president after his death in 2013. The society works with children, youth and women in slum and village communities through education, healthcare, livelihood and anti-hunger programmes.
Gram Sewa Sangh reports the following, on its own site:
- Gram Sewa Sangh distributed more than 5,000 grocery kits and 4,000 meals through community kitchen to communities in order to support them with basic health and nutrition.
- Through our COVID relief initiatives, we were able to touch more than 5000 lives in many slums/villages of Nagpur.
