Dakshana Foundation

Dakshana Foundation identifies academically gifted students from impoverished backgrounds — predominantly from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and government schools across rural India — and gives them one to two years of intensive free coaching for the IIT and medical entrance exams. Scholars are selected on academic record and Dakshana's own testing, and are taught at residential campuses including Dakshana Valley.

Dakshana Foundation reports the following, on its own site:

  • 46,015 lives impacted forever
  • ₹155 crores invested in quality education
  • 1,127 scholars currently preparing for IIT and medical entrance exams at 3 campuses
