M. Anandam is the founding trustee of MV Foundation (Mamidipudi Venkatarangaiya Foundation) (1981)[1], an Indian non-profit working on human rights and education from Secunderabad.
MV Foundation (Mamidipudi Venkatarangaiya Foundation)
MV Foundation is a Secunderabad-based trust established in 1981 in memory of educationist Prof. Mamidipudi Venkatarangaiya. Since 1991 it has focused on abolishing child labour, releasing children from bonded labour and campaigning for universal school enrolment of children aged 5-14 across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
MV Foundation (Mamidipudi Venkatarangaiya Foundation) reports the following, on its own site:
- Over a million children withdrawn from labour and enabled to join and complete full-time formal schools
- 1,500 villages made child-labour free
- Over 25,000 adolescent girls enabled to complete secondary school
- 20,000 child marriages prevented in its programme areas
