Kiran Seth is the founder of SPIC MACAY[1], an Indian non-profit working on arts & culture and education from New Delhi.

SPIC MACAY

Founded by Prof. Kiran Seth at IIT Delhi in 1977, SPIC MACAY organises thousands of concerts, lecture-demonstrations and heritage walks in schools and colleges through a nationwide volunteer movement.

SPIC MACAY reports the following, on its own site:

  • ~5,000 volunteer-driven programmes a year, reaching ~30 million students
  • 500+ chapters in every state and union territory; 300+ cities, 20+ countries
  • Five decades of bringing classical music, dance and craft into classrooms
